The Young Artist Music Project (YAMP) is seeking passionate and skilled music teachers to join our growing team. We are a quickly growing multi-faceted music school offering programs specifically for children and youth in early childhood music, piano, violin, guitar, and music therapy. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in their instrument or area of expertise, a love for teaching, and the ability to inspire children and youth of all ages and skill levels.

We'll provide the students and an ecosystem that allows them to thrive, and handle all of the scheduling, billing, marketing, and communication so you can focus on being an excellent teacher.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and/or group lessons in your area of expertise (currently piano, violin, guitar, and early childhood music, but we are open to other instruments as well!)
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment, motivating students to achieve their musical aspirations.
• Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and examinations as needed.
• Support the mission and vision of the Young Artist Music Project.
• Communicate effectively with our office, team, students, and parents.

Requirements

• An outgoing personality and love for teaching.
• A strong desire to inspire creativity and development in children and youth through music.
• The ability to connect with and inspire students.
• A degree in music, enrollment in a music program, or significant experience teaching in the area of expertise you are applying for.
• A commitment to punctuality and organization, ensuring that you are on time and prepared for lessons.
• Must live in St. Johns or southern Duval counties.
