We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our tax team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance, and at least 5 years of public accounting experience with an emphasis on preparing federal (and state) income tax returns. SKILLS FOR TAX PREPARER

• Prepare written correspondences (and communicate via telephone) to the IRS and other government agencies regarding various tax compliance issues with an emphasis on an efficient resolution to such matters
• Preparation of complex Business and Personal Income Tax Returns with the ability to research uncertain positions and issues that may arise in the preparation process
• May perform detailed review on tax returns, research on complex matters, and compliance work with an emphasis on tax law compliance, depending on experience
• Provide tax compliance and tax advisory services to individuals and businesses
• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate and professional manner
• Prepare, review and accurately communicate client correspondence, letters, e-mails
• Communicate proactively with clients and other employees on important matters in a timely manner
• Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client data
• Ensuring client confidentiality and privacy
• Tax Planning for individual and business clients

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TAX PREPARER

• 5 years’ experience preparing various tax returns
• CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks, ProSystem FX, CCH Axcess preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
