Minimum Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a college degree program at Columbia College
• Must have an interest in gaining practical work experience
• Good technical skills, including working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous office or internship experience

What will your day look like?
You will participate in meetings to gain an understanding of the department's objectives and activities, and assist on special projects and assignments. As a part of your daily tasks, you will perform administrative duties to include creating and editing documents, maintaining spreadsheets, and analyzing basic data. You will collate documents, brochures, or other materials and prepare basic correspondence, research information, gather data, and prepare basic reports or analyses.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements 
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. 

The expected pay rate for this position, if hired to work in New York City is $23.00 per hour. If hired to work in San Francisco or Palo Alto the expected pay rate is $ $24.00 per hour. If hired to work in Los Angeles, San Diego, or Seattle the expected pay rate is $ $24.00 per hour. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications.
