Tax Research Manager manages the tax research and planning functions of an organization. Researches tax regulation implications on the organization. Being a Tax Research Manager analyzes tax data to help minimize tax cost and comply with all present and future regulatory requirements. May have a legal background in tax regulation. Additionally, Tax Research Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or top executive. This Manager role focuses in tax and accounting work within the Construction industry.     In this role, you will be a trusted business advisor that:

    • Maintains and builds strong client relationships to drive a deep understanding of their business and related goals
    • Works directly with Construction (and other industry) clients to find creative solutions to complex accounting, tax, and business challenges
    • Aligns Construction and Tax expertise to best support client and firm needs
    • Leads and plans client engagements to provide dynamic service
    • Advises on appropriate tax, accounting, and business strategies to assist business clients maximize their success
    • Aligns business clients with other internal or external expertise, when needed
    • Effectively delegates and oversees work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles and scheduling to meet deadlines efficiently
    • Mentors and/or coaches team members on growth, development, and performance


    As a leader in our firm, top candidates will:

    • 5-8 years of public accounting experience with a focus on accounting, individual, business, partnership and corporate tax in the Construction industry
    • Be a CPA with related Bachelor's or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Taxation or related field
    • Experience overseeing accounting, tax and related work in a public accounting environment
    • Ability to lead, mentor and develop others in growth, development, and wellness
    • Be driven to meet or exceed personal charge hours for self and help direct others in efficiency and productivity
    • Be creative in critical thinking and problem solving while being able to develop and follow processes
    • Have technical ability in MS Office, tax and accounting software, and ability to learn new software
