Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of individual students.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain classroom discipline and promote positive interactions among students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as necessary.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support child welfare and academic success.
• Provide early intervention strategies for students who may require additional support in their learning journey.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

• Strong understanding of early intervention strategies and their application in a classroom setting.
• Experience working with children in various capacities, including childcare or tutoring roles.
• Proficient in behavior management techniques that promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Knowledge of child welfare principles to ensure the well-being of all students.
• Effective classroom management skills that foster an engaging learning environment.
• Experience in private school settings is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
