Teacher Kindergarten prepares lessons and instructs students in an assigned elementary school's kindergarten. Develops and implements activities to meet the academic, developmental, and social needs of children in kindergarten classroom setting. Being a Teacher Kindergarten monitors and guides classroom behavior. Resolves classroom issues and conflicts. Additionally, Teacher Kindergarten assesses and documents students' progress. Participates in development and implementation of Individual Education Plans for specific students. May participate in implementing special programs for students. May supervise teaching assistants. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require state-specific teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Kindergarten occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.       Job Summary: This is a 1.0 FTE non-continuing leave replacement contract position for the 2024-2025 school year for a Kindergarten Teacher. Under the direction of the Principal, responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.
      Salary Range: $70,006 - $138,991 (anticipated increase for the 2024-2025 school year) per the Snohomish Education Association Total Compensation Salary Schedule. Placement on the salary schedule is determined by official documentation verifying educational level and work experience. Salary will be prorated for less than a full-year and/or part-time employees.
      Contract: 180-days - Leave replacement for the 2024-2025 school year
      Endorsement Required: Elementary Education
      Qualifications:
      • Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
      • Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment with the District when required for position by Board Policy.
