VRC Assistant:
Seeking an individual to assist a team of Lead Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. Will work with various stakeholders to assist Lead Counselors in vocational counseling and case management with a goal of helping injured workers return to work. Ideal candidate must be a problem solver with a positive can-do attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, time management skills and proficient computer skills.
Required: BA degree, valid WSDL, consent to a background check, 90-day in person training required at our home office in Lacey, WA.
Preferred: BA degree in counseling or related field

Common tasks performed in this position are:
Call or visit work sites to gather information for the development of client job descriptions.
Call businesses to gather labor market information.
Conduct meetings with clients.
Prepare resumes and conduct job search.
Maintain confidential records and case files.
Confer with medical professionals and other stakeholders to develop and implement client rehabilitation programs.
Arrange for physical, mental, academic, vocational, and other evaluations to obtain information for assessing clients' needs and developing rehabilitation plans.
Write client reports and plans.
Perform research for various client job and retraining goals and conduct meetings at various locations for this purpose.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Willingness to Travel. No overnight travel required. Car and valid car insurance are required.
Proficiency with computers and software programs including MS Windows and Word. * Demonstrated time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
Ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
