Teacher Vocational Education is responsible for teaching vocational courses focusing on developing job-specific or industry-specific knowledge and skills. Develops and implements appropriate course work, activities, and assessments. Being a Teacher Vocational Education evaluates and monitors student's performance, and helps students identify and pursue personal goals. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher Vocational Education typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a state-specific vocational teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Vocational Education occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     When you join our team as a Lead Teacher you will :

    • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
    • Implement KinderCare’s curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
    • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
    • Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
    • Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
    • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.

    Qualifications

    • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
    • Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
    • Approved state trainer (preferred)
    • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
    • Meet state specific guidelines for the role
    • Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
    • Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
    • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
