SUMMARY:
Assists teachers and other professional staff by performing a variety of duties designed to implement the instructional program for students. The Teacher Assistant must be willing to work collaboratively with all members of the team and school community in order to put student needs and independence at the forefront. The teacher assistant must also be willing to continue to learn and gain professional knowledge on best strategies in order to teach the students in our care.

The noise level in the work environment is quiet to loud depending upon the activity in the particular part of the day. Occasionally the employee may be required to be outdoors for a short period of time, and therefore subject to varying weather conditions, for purposes of accomplishing the essential functions of this job.

TERMS:
Position subject to terms, conditions, and calendar of the Master Agreement between the District and Unit I AFT Local 3760. Starting salary ranging (dependent upon experience) from $26,178 – $30,492.
