Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a
Civil-Structural Analyst opportunity to support the
Savannah River Site.

Civil-Structural Analyst -
Duties
- Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
- Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following: Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
Education & Years of Experience:
- Master of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering OR Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering
Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
- A working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
- A sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
- The ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Off-Site travel may be required to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
