Headquartered just outside of Glide, OR Romtec, Inc. is looking to add a Technical Writer to our documentation team!
Romtec designs, manufactures, supplies, and constructs buildings and structures for all types of applications. We are architects, engineers, manufacturers, and contractors. Our process begins by designing a building that is particular to the needs of each customer. We have completed hundreds of projects across the United States and have supplied packages for international installations.

We are looking for some that will have a strong command of written English and the ability to quickly assimilate new technical information while translating complex topics for various technical and non-technical readers. This position is in Romtec’s established Documentation Department. Documentation is a division of Romtec Engineering. Documentation develops all the written documents including submittals, scope letters, specifications & responds to any and all Engineering reviews/comments. While not required, strong consideration will be given to candidates who holds a bachelor’s degree or higher in the Technical or Communication related fields.

It is critical that the Technical Writer:
· 2-year Degree
· Engineering/Architectural/Construction background
· Ability to read Architectural plans & specks
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent technical writing capability
· Effectively communicate with others
· Problem-solving skills
· Fundamental understanding of various design and engineering aspects including architectural, mechanical, structural, etc. as they relate to building construction (construction experience meets this requirement).

All potential employee who will be engaged in any physical activity will take an agility and hearing test, provided. These tests are intended to assist the supervisor in evaluating the demands of the position relative to the results of the test. Once a candidate is considered for the position Human Resources will work with the candidate to schedule an appointment for the agility and hearing testing. The test will be performed by a medical facility or an industrial physical testing provider. Romtec will cover the charges of these test that are required.
