Technical Librarian develops and maintains a collection of technical information and provides research and reference support to researchers, scientists, and engineers. Builds an extensive network of technical information resources and contacts from various sources like government agencies, universities, professional and industry associations to obtain the required information. Being a Technical Librarian communicates with researchers to develop and maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the organization's relevant topics and effectively target technical publications as information sources. Creates abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify the information. Additionally, Technical Librarian obtains translations of literature as needed. Supports and maintains the library's technology infrastructure and information retrieval tools. Typically requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. The Technical Librarian work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Technical Librarian typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     The Patient Service Associate will work closely and effectively with a diverse population of patients and medical professionals. They will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, professionalism in all interactions and have the ability to multi-task while serving as the first point of contact for patients. The Patient Service Associate will greet and schedule patients, answer and manage our busy phone system and consistently promote the agency’s commitment to excellence. They will demonstrate proficient data entry skills, uphold confidentiality in all interactions and continually maintain and improve upon job specific competencies. The Patient Service Associate will also perform other duties as assigned. This person needs to be fully bilingual, English and Spanish.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Patient experience:

    · Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, visitors and callers

    · Oversee the safe, efficient, and comfortable atmosphere of the reception area

    · Greet patients and other visitors to the agency and assist them as appropriate

    Scheduling:

    · Review schedules to ensure accuracy and fill appointment opportunities

    · Schedule and reschedule appointments in accordance with CHC scheduling guidelines

    · Collect, verify, update and document patient demographics, insurance information and forms

    · Review and complete Telephone encounters (TEs) timely and accurately

    · Reconcile patient visits daily

    Insurance:

    · Verify active insurance coverage and status and keep information updated

    Payments:

    · Collect patient payments, balances and copays

    · Assist patients with payment plans/sliding fee applications, and ensure applications are up-to-date

    · Complete end of day reporting and ensure records balance

    Phones:

    · Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls and document as needed in electronic health record (EHR) system, per CHC guidelines

    Scanning:

    · Ensure forms are completed and accurate, including assisting patients in completing forms, and scan into EHR per CHC Indexing protocols

    HIPAA:

    · Consistently ensure and maintain patient confidentiality

    Other:

    · Escalate concerns to site leads/Operations Manager and offer suggestions for improvement

    · Support Operations Manager in monitoring inventory of supplies for the office

    · Meet and exceed assigned individual and departmental goals

    · Other duties and projects as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · Associates degree, medical office or medical assistant degree preferred

    · Exceptional customer service skills

    · Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

    · Proven ability to multitask

    · Problem Solving and critical thinking skills

    · Excellent organizational skills

    · Healthcare experience in Medical, Dental, or Behavioral Health preferred

    · Experience with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, preferred

    · Bilingual skills, Spanish speaking REQUIRED

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
