Technical Trainer creates and conducts technical training programs. Determines training objectives. Being a Technical Trainer writes training programs, including outline, text, handouts, and tests, and designs laboratory exercises. Lectures on the safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment. Additionally, Technical Trainer administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Technical Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Technical Service Coordinator/Trainer provides technical support for products distributed by Moffat US and is primarily responsible for giving professional and knowledgeable direct and indirect technical support to service technicians and customers of Moffat US and provide remote service training seminars for IHT.
1. IHT and ASA Training. (This will require traveling 1-2 times per month, nationally)
2. Provides customer base and service network with full technical support.
3. Technical Product Training – Maintains training schedule, materials, targeted concentrations and conducts training classes in Ali Training Center and in the field.
4. Assists in the coordination of new client deployments.
5. Provides and maintain professional relationships with customers/service providers.
6. Provides troubleshooting support over the phone and other tools.
7. Analyzes and rectifies customer concerns using established procedures.
8. Ascertains warranty, parts and service requirements and offers advice to the service manager on appropriate action.
9. Assists in conducting factory and remote service training seminars.
10. Machine maintenance repairs as required.
11. Develops a full technical understanding of Moffat US product lines.
1. Evaluate machines for repair and material cost analysis at managers request
2. Perform hands-on technical repairs at factory or customer’s location
3. Maintain and complete service reports on equipment
4. Install machines for special accounts as designated
5. Supervise installations of equipment as designated
6. Quote customers for labor and parts on request
7. Work with other technicians on electrical issues (training, assistance)
8. Shares in after hour technical phone support
