We seek a skilled Technical Writer with experience in drafting Manufacturing and ERP-related process documentation to join our team. The successful candidate will be crucial in documenting and communicating complex manufacturing processes, procedures, and system workflows. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing operations and ERP systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and insights on manufacturing processes, procedures, and ERP system functionalities.
- Translate technical information into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand documentation for various audiences, including end-users, technical teams, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, user manuals, and system configuration guides.
- Ensure documentation aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Review and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify documentation needs and address gaps in existing documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and provide valuable insights and recommendations on documentation-related matters.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and developments in manufacturing processes and ERP systems to enhance documentation quality and effectiveness.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5 – 7 years) as a Technical Writer, preferably in a manufacturing environment with exposure to ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including but not limited to production planning, inventory management, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, and the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
- Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, or other relevant tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving documentation-related issues.
