    Peak Technologies develops solutions for virtual and live events. We are looking for an Technical Director to join our team. The Technical Director (TD) oversees the estimating, project planning and onsite delivery of AV projects. The TD provides technical knowledge of audio, video, projection, video walls, computer and lighting equipment and is experienced with videoconferencing technology.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The ability to competently multitask and handle multiple project streams simultaneously.
    • Stays calm and demonstrates an in control under pressure demeanor while maintaining a consistent level of activity and performance when placed in tense, high pressure situations.
    • Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
    • Responsible for front line customer service and portrays a polished professional image while interacting with clients, venue partners, and other vendors as needed.
    • Supports Account Executives with technical and client relations perspective in the preparation of quotes and work orders.
    • Provides recommendations to streamline processes, improve equipment, profitability and technology capabilities.
    • Coordinates with Project Manager to ensure event technical requirements are accurate.
    • Provides direct supervision of employees and freelancers, including; managing personal information and qualifications, timekeeping, approval of invoices on a project basis.
    • Evaluates equipment to ensure adequate resources are available for assigned events and upcoming projects.
    • Works with the Warehouse Manager to ensure event equipment is packaged properly and set to event requirement/demands.
    • Assists with show delivery/set-up/dismantle as needed.
    • Supervises the Setup and dismantle of events in a technically correct and efficient manner. Ensures event setups and are clean and tidy - cables hidden and properly wrapped, for the professional corporate look.
    • Informs the Project/ Account Manager of any event emergencies, setbacks, unresolved issues, and last-minute client requests.
    • Promotes motivation, communication, teamwork and positive attitude between all employees.
    • Documents process improvements and identifies opportunities to define standard event procedures.
    • Produces and prepares event documentation including, but not limited to: floor plans, production schedules, wiring diagrams, 3D renderings, among others.

    REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and 3-5 years’ experience as a Technical Director or similar experience successfully executing projects and programs and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in live event audio & video productions.
    • A strong understanding of Video Conferencing / Streaming & Hybrid events.
    • Experience working in a customer service environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Fluent in spoken and written English.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
    • Ability to work flex time as required.
    • Ability to travel throughout North America.
    • Valid Driver's License and Passport.
