Candidate must be able to coordinate and oversee the daily tasks and functions of the Technical Writing, Technical Editing, and Reliability personnel in support for various marine applications. Must have seven (7) years of management experience and five (5) years of related technical experience (i.e. technical writing, editing, reliability). Responsibilities include some of the following: Producing regular departmental status reports to management as well as generating month-end budget reporting; developing proposals related to the various Technical Writing, Technical Editing and Reliability functions including financial estimates and task definitions; managing and leading a team of Analysts & Technical Writers/Editors and working with multiple internal departments/groups in the areas of development, expediting, product distribution, implementation, and submittals. Candidate must also have knowledge of contract requirements and logistics specifications for the Technical Data and Reliability Deliverables. In-depth knowledge of Arbortext Editor, Adobe Acrobat Professional, S1000D, SGML/XML, web-based development programs and/or Windchill is preferred. Proficiency in using standard software (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook) and internet applications are required.
