Technology Director

  • The Technology Director is primarily responsible for leading our technology department and driving innovation in the outdoor adventure industry. The Technology Director will be responsible for managing a small IT department, developing technology strategies, and ensuring the company stays at the forefront of technological advancements.
    All Adventures on the Gorge employees are expected to help achieve our vision of leading the world outdoors by extending hospitality at all times, providing assistance where needed, and championing a one-company mindset.
    Duties/Responsibilities
    1. Technology Leadership
    • Develop and implement a technology vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
    • Lead a small IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Collaborate with our leadership team to define clear technology goals and objectives.
    • Maintain a keen understanding of emerging technology trends and developments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    2. IT Management
    • Oversee all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
    • Ensure the security and integrity of company data and systems.
    • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
    • Recommend cost-effective solutions that align with our technology strategy.
    3. Innovation and Development
    • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and improve safety in outdoor adventure activities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions and improvements.
    4. Digital marketing and E-commerce
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing strategies that drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
    • Enhance the company’s presence through website development, mobile apps and digital marketing channels.
    5. Compliance and Regulation
    • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant technology-related regulations, including date protection and cybersecurity standards.
    • Assess and enhance company cybersecurity measures to protect customer data and company assets.

    Qualifications
    Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, with a track record of successfully developing and executing technology strategies.
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.
    • Experience with e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and web development.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    Preferred:
    • A passion for outdoor adventure and a desire to help shape the future of the industry through technology.
    • Experience in a hospitality setting
    Other Information
    • The Technology Director is sometimes expected to work weekends and/or irregular hours. Flexibility in work habits and work schedule is required.
