    The Project Management Office in the Office of Physical Plant is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager. The primary function of this position is to provide excellent project oversight, task management, and organizational change management to various projects within the organization. The Project Manager works with many levels of leadership and staff to manage project efforts based on industry best practices; works as the single point of contact for facilitation and communication of project goals, deliverables and schedules, and must be an excellent communicator; various levels of documentation will be produced at each stage of the project and the project manager is often the person who creates these with input from others. They will demonstrate awareness of broad issues and management trends and potentially evaluate the impact of policy and procedure changes and adjust accordingly. We expect this person to assist in evaluating, throughout the project life cycle and once the end user processes are understood, to determine if we are maximizing our operational efficiencies.
    Shall demonstrate a high level of negotiation in persuading and influencing a wide variety of people at various levels and locations to achieve results. Will develop and oversee the implementation of solutions to highly complex and often controversial problems that may have company-wide impact and establish new precedents for solving problems. The employee often works independently on highly complex and strategic assignments, yet integrated participation with several multi-disciplined teams is required.

    WORK DUTIES

    • Create project artifacts, agendas, presentations, meeting minutes, etc. for the project team and ensure documentation is complete and housed in a central repository for others to refer to.
    • Develop appropriate means of communication throughout the life cycle of
    • projects; ensure stakeholders, end users, project team members are kept up tospeed and assigned duties are being completed according to the plan.
    • Leads project management, integrated logistics support, or quality assurance activities for the projects.
    • Incorporate the goals and mission of both the organization and the customers in all work assignments and procedures.
    • May be responsible for various administrative tasks.
    • Participate in the strategic planning process and provide input into strategic decisions for project(s).
    • Develop and provide timely leadership status reports for all projects being managed.
    • Evaluate and initiate the change processes where necessary to enhance programs.
    • Serve as a consultant for new technological advances particularly those using

    integrated technologies and services.

    • May need to analyze and evaluate vendor proposals for related work.
    • Determine the feasibility of proposals and provide or evaluate cost benefit analysis as appropriate.
    • Implement, review progress, and evaluate results on complex work assignments
    • Meet with various customers to analyze needs, design, document detailed requirements, and develop technical solutions.
    • Maintain an awareness of developments in the industry concerning hardware, software, development trends for growth and impart that knowledge to others.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus 8 years or more of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
