    • Candidates who are a good fit for this position will provide excellent customer service and consultative and technical support services to the Career Service Network and employer partners to ensure timely problem resolution, system/data access, and optimal system performance.

    • Provide support for Handshake software to include, but not limited to, employer and job approvals, event support, troubleshooting technology problems, and recommending hardware and software appropriate for its intended use.

    • Provide consulting on routine technology solutions.

    About TES:
    Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
    • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
    • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
    • Assistance with special projects
    • Seasonal work
    • Emergencies

    AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
    Essential Functions
    • Provides high-quality customer service through courteous and professional communication with guidance from more senior team members. Builds and maintains effective relationships with consistent follow-up and documentation.
    • Provides technical support to constituents to resolve first-tier common application and communication issues in an efficient and timely manner. Accurately documents request history and routes more complex second- and third tier requests to the appropriate technical personnel.
    • Provides timely resolution of problem or escalation on behalf of the client.
    • Provides basic consultation, support, and instruction for clients.
    • Assists senior employees with the implementation of standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines.
    • May assist senior employees with the development of new applications, resources, and tools.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Expectations:
    • Working knowledge of common operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • Great communication skills.
    • Active Listening skills.
    • Available to work 20-30 hours per week.




    Desired Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2 or more years of relevant experience.

    Salary Range $15.00-$23.00/hour
    Work Hours Typical work hours between 7:45 am and 4:45 pm. During Career Fair Season some nights and weekends may be required.
