We are seeking applications for an experienced Technology Specialist to help take our company and customer to the next level.
What you will be doing:
The Technology Specialist will join the talented team at the Deer Lakes School District in the Cheswick, Pa area. You will provide first line support for all staff and students at Deer Lakes School District. The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands throughout the educational institution. The salary range is $30,000-$35,000/yr.
Essential Functions:
The essential responsibilities below are representative of basic functions of the position; Administration reserves the right to add, remove or change any duties and responsibilities to meet the operating needs of the School.
- Provide on-site, phone, and remote support to Deer Lakes student and staff users (“customers”) as required.
- Create, monitor, track, schedule, update, and close district work orders within the ticketing system in a timely manner
- Effectively hand off issues to higher level technical support personnel or appropriate individuals in other departments
- Follow through to ensure problems are resolved and customers are updated.
- Develop in-depth product knowledge to resolve customer questions and issues and contribute to the Knowledge Base.
- Assist with password resets for network and email accounts.
- Provide basic computing device technical support
- Assist with basic device network connectivity issues.
- Provide application software support.
- Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the maintenance of records and inventory.
- Assist with device deployment and imaging when requested
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Technology
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned
- Attends in-service trainings.
- Attends staff meetings
- Assists in the preparation of technology grant applications
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office Suite.
- PC Security Administration/Update experience.
- Active Directory experience.
- Mobile device experience.
- Chromebook experience
- Google Suite / Google Classroom experience
- Hardware maintenance experience
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a technology-related field required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, network administration or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years work experience in a technology-related field required.
- Experience with technical support in a school district/educational environment preferred.
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft-supported Windows PC and Mac operating systems required.
- In-depth understanding of PC computer hardware required.
- In-depth understanding of Internet and networking technologies and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with current Apple hardware and IOS preferred.
- Experience with current Google Chromebook devices preferred.
- Experience with remote desktop management software and scripts required.
- Experience with various student-based software applications preferred.
- Experience with help desk ticket tracking systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, problem solve and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated experience working with software vendors.
- Must possess a working knowledge of WIN 7/10; Mac OS X, Microsoft Server 2008/2012, Active Directory Tools, Ethernet switched wired and wireless networks.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment or a K-12 school district. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
