Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Executive Director leads the CASA program, leading all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training, administration, human resources and case management. Job location is in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This is a multifaceted position responsible for supporting and mentoring CASA Volunteer Advocate staff, and committees and CASA Volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related social service field required; MSW or MPA strongly preferred.
· Previous experience working with, supporting and motivating volunteers.
· Knowledge and understanding of child abuse and neglect, families in crisis, and other social service skills.
· Knowledge of community resources and services provided in Berrien County and St. Joseph County is preferred.
· Computer literacy including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word. QuickBooks or similar system experience required.
· Excellent written and oral communication. A writing sample may be requested.
· Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, a properly insured automobile and a good driving record. The ability to travel as necessary.
· Able to pass a DHHS Central Registry Check, full criminal background check and social security verification.
· A positive, flexible, collaborative team player that understands the rigors of working in a dependency environment.
· The ability to communicate professionally and positively with the judiciary, attorneys, caseworkers, staff, professionals, children, their parents and others.
· Possess the ability to quickly change focus to accommodate the needs of the position.

· Be at least 21 years of age, pass a pre-employment drug screen (10 panel).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities listed below should not be interpreted as all inclusive. The executive director may be requested to perform job-related duties other than those outlined in this description.
Case Management:
o Maintain regular contact with assigned volunteers.
o Be accessible to the volunteers during working hours and at reasonable times outside of working hours.
o Available to work evenings and weekends, if necessary.
o Attend case conferences, meetings and court hearings with assigned volunteers.
o Edit and finalize volunteer court reports for the ED’s caseload and staff caseload. Distribute reports to appropriate parties within a specific time frame.
o Have enough general knowledge of each case to provide consultation and substitute for the volunteer in case of emergency.
o Ensure staff is current on volunteer activities and their assigned cases by holding regular case conferences.
Volunteer management:
o Lead recruitment efforts for volunteers including recruitment at outreach events with a particular emphasis on creating a diverse volunteer cohort.
o Become certified to train CASA Volunteers. Provide or secure preservice and in-service training for volunteers.
o Plan and facilitate volunteer recognition events and monthly in-service training meetings.
o Conduct volunteer evaluations annually.
o Address volunteer needs and concerns.
o Manage any conflict or concerns between other professionals involved in cases on behalf of staff and volunteers.
Additional Duties:
o Professionally represent Casa in all fundraising efforts, utilizing staff and volunteers when appropriate
o Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders and funders.
o Speak to community groups and others about the program and impact.
o Understand and enforce organization policies and procedures.
o Collect data for outcomes.
o Successfully maintain all required training identified for this position.
o Maintain financial records, prepare payroll and pay bills (using Quickbooks)
o Oversee all administrative functions of the organization
o Maintain board contact, schedule board meetings and attend board meetings.
o Participate in community improvement efforts through the court system or within the community as needed.
o Prepare all communications to the community and funders (e.g. Annual reports, annual surveys)
o Write grants when appropriate and report accurately and timely.
Schedule: Full time, Exempt (some remote work is possible)
Salary: Based on experience (mileage and cell phone reimbursement).
