Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Creek Enterprise, Inc. has been completing large-scale construction projects in the telecommunications industry since 2003. This includes directional boring, installation of manhole and conduit systems, buried and aerial placement of coaxial, copper, and fiber communications and power cable, plowing and trenching. While our company has continued to grow and evolve over the past decade, our founding principles of putting our clients first continue to guide us to this day.

    Responsibility

    • Properly climb poles with the ability to safely use gaffs and ladders
    • Climb pole to cable height
    • Operate hydraulic aerial lifts
    • Install poles and place wires and cables
    • Place aerial coax copper and fiber cable
    • String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Lashing, Stranding)
    • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines
    • Understanding of separation and clearance regulations
    • Operate Construction Equipment
    • Utilize standard telecommunications tools
    • Access construction points as required
    • Read and interpret engineering plans
    • Keep a detailed record of work activity

    Qualifications

    • Current valid drivers license (CDL Preferably but not required) with a clean driving record
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
    • Must follow all safety guidelines and wear protective equipment at all times
    • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
    • Must be able to work at heights of 20 ’ feet
    • Must be able to move in different positions – crouching, bending, reaching, kneeling, and heavy lifting
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
