Telecommunications Manager manages an organization's telecommunication systems to ensure optimal network performance. Implements and enforces policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Manager plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Manager trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Telecommunications Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Review coding, testing, and documentation of software.
- Apply modern principles, methods and tools to business initiatives and capabilities.
- Optimize systems in compliance with the required performance.
- Ensure minimal cost and promote simplification
- Prepare functional analysis.
- Implement detailed engineering projects (examples: layout installation, configuration, support...)
- Support and assist Telecommunications and Service Desk staff as required.
- Provide management with daily, weekly and monthly metrics
The expected salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 annually. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
