Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. Being a Test Engineer assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Requires a bachelor's degree of Engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Test Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     JOB PROFILE: Test Engineer

    JOB LOCATION: Carrollton, TX

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Planning, coordination, and control of the various test activities
    • Development and definition of suitable test methods and test tools.
    • Technical management and control of the testing team
    • Documentation of the test activities and preparation of the results.
    • Definition and monitoring of quality goals
    • Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of the project.
    • Review, refine, and disseminate client requirements and business rules to the QA team.
    • Prepare regular QA status reports for senior management regarding the sprint progress.
    • Ensure effective coordination/communication between all functional teams, stakeholders, and the customer as needed.
    • Develop, implement, and manage effective cross-functional and cross-site (global) team communications and coordination.
    • Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources, and budget required to perform the testing.
    • Build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes, and motivation.
    • Identify Training requirements and forward them to the Project Manager (Technical and Soft skills).
    • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies, and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
    • Arrange the Hardware and software requirements for the Test Setup.
    • Assign tasks to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.
    • Ensure the content and structure of all Testing documents/artifacts are documented and maintained.
    • Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization.
    • Check / Review the Test Case documents and Keep track of the new and changed requirements in the Project.
    • Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly, etc.) to the Client
    • Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines, etc.
    • Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
    • Prepares/updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or the completion of the project.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Hands-on Experience in Test plan/Test strategy preparation
    • Hands-on experience in Test Scenarios/Test Cases preparation
    • Willing to learn new tools/technologies to automate the testing scenarios in the product environment.
    • Good at using the Test Management tools like ALM/JIRA
    • Collaborate with the QA Test Manager to develop effective test strategies and test plans.
    • Collaborate with client and system implementer to identify test scenarios.
    • Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document lessons learned for future improvement.
    • Review and analyze system requirements and production incident inquiries.
    • Create analysis documents and Testing Plans for various releases planned by the client.
    • Ensure analysis and testing phase(s) are delivered on time.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with clients and vendors.
    • Experience in providing the walkthrough to the client Test Plan/Test Results/Test Scenarios etc.
    • Experience in hosting the defect triage calls and being able to identify the potential risks well in advance and come up with a mitigation plan.
    • Self-starter and Curious about the latest happenings in the QA world.
    • Excited to unlearn the old methods and experiment with new features and technologies.
    • Should have a background in managing maintenance engagements with proactive SLA/KPI adherence, quality status reporting, continuous improvements, etc.
    • Should create a culture that strives at a rapid pace, changing and challenging environment, and delivering quality products and services to our customers.
    • Must be a team player, self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently and proactively and not seek direction or guidance often.
    • Should have the ability to work around constraints and deficiencies and ensure timely delivery.
    • Must be capable of building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals.
    • Should be creative and able to think outside the box while defining a sound and practical solution.
    • Should have the desire to take the initiative, moving ideas forward with clarity.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    Any Graduate with a B. E / B. Tech, MCA, or equivalent degree with more than three (3) years of relevant work experience.
