Test Engineer interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. Being a Test Engineer assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Requires a bachelor's degree of Engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Test Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Commercial HVAC Start & Test Technician/Apprentice Responsibilities
Experience: Normally less than 5 years
Skill Level:
Can install residential style/light commercial equipment and refrigerant piping
Working knowledge of residential/light commercial ductwork
systems/controls, thermostats, gas piping
Can read and interpret mechanical codes
Minimum score of 75% on Mechanical Aptitude Assessment
Powder Gun certification
AWP certification
CFC certification
Zoom Lock, Pro Press and Mega Press Certification
Must be able to braze and solder
Must be enrolled in HVAC courses (PHCC, Trade School, etc.)
Must demonstrate and verify these skills
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Must have required tools
Neatness, uniforms per company standards
Punctuality, attendance and attitude must be exceptional
Training to read and interpret drawings
Can read and write to a high school level
