Test Engineer interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. Being a Test Engineer assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Requires a bachelor's degree of Engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Test Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Minimum Qualifications:
Nine years of application development experience in quality assurance testing. At least three years of this must have been utilizing testing automation. Three years of the experience must have been at a supervisory level.

An Associate's degree and seven years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree and five years of the required experience as described above.
OR
A Master’s degree and four years of the required experience as described above.
Under the general direction of the Project Director, G-31, the Test Manager, G-27, will be responsible for overseeing and managing all system testing activities. The incumbent will coordinate a team of System Testers and the activities of the Technical Testing Center under the Transformation, Data and Program Support Office.
