Test Engineer interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions. Being a Test Engineer assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Documents and analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Additionally, Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Requires a bachelor's degree of Engineering. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Test Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. SGS North America, Inc., Branchburg, New Jersey. Debug and perform engineering testing services for wireless clients utilizing wireless testing specified equipment to perform required tests; Maintain the test platforms CTIA/ PTCRB/GCF and build knowledge on platforms by updating systems and isolating issues then communicating with test equipment service; Conduct testing in accordance with wireless testing procedures, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery that ensures effective customer relations; Ensure completion of all projects and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfill CTIA/PTCRB/GCF requirements; Assist in maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation to ensure the highest quality of service to clients; Test system management, maintenance, and calibrations to ensure compliance with the wireless quality systems and to actively improve the testing service to client; and Maintain a high degree of specialized knowledge of wireless industry test requirements in order to assist customers and test equipment manufactures with technical issues.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer, Electronic Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experience must include: Three (3) years of experience performing SISO OTA test certification for various wireless devices following CTIA/PTCRB/GCF standards; three (3) years of experience performing AGPS/MIMO OTA test certification in accordance with CTIA/PTCRB/GCF standards; three (3) years of experience operating debugging tools such as QXDM, QPST, Shannon DM and ADB; and three (3) years of experience maintaining OTA test equipment and software tools. Must be able to speak Chinese.
Compensation: $33.00/ hour
