The Storage Yard Shipping and Receiving Manager is primarily responsible for monitoring the arrival and departure of personnel, inventory and equipment; and to safeguard the items and equipment housed on the premises.
• Act as a liaison between carrier and organization to maintain open communication and to facilitate shipping, storage, and receiving activities on the property.
• Communicate transportation status to various stakeholders including but not limited to sales representatives, brokers, customers, vendors, and management.
• Create and distribute shipping reports, customer pick up schedules, inventory reports and other necessary reports.
• Track daily receipts and shipments.
• Advise management of any concerns regarding activities of carriers delivering or retrieving inventory.
• Perform inspections of inventory on site, report any issues to management.
• Must be accessible 24 hours a day
• Candidate must be able to live onsite
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
• The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
