  • The Escrow Officer is responsible for reviewing all the information related to the real estate settlement, facilitate the consummation of the transaction and completion of all post-closing procedures. The escrow officer is responsible for communicating effectively with all parties to assist in the real estate closing process.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review transaction documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, surveys, trust deeds and contracts that affect property titles.
    • Review the title commitment and ensure that all liens, judgments and any items that may cloud title are addressed prior to closing.
    • Prepare settlement statements, CPL’s, closing disclosures, and other internal documentation required for closing.
    • Communicate with consumers, lenders, real estate agents and service providers to coordinate the transaction.
    • Receive and disburse funds related to the real estate transaction.
    • Complete and follow-up on all post-closing activities.
