Title Examiner reviews titles and researches public records to determine legal status of title. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Title Examiner is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Job Summary: Perform detailed property search using appropriate abstracting software and review of relevant county records, generate preliminary title commitment, review and examine all appropriate documents, update and prepare final title commitment and deliver to customer within the Company’s designated delivery turn time. This position may focus more on the search tasks or the examining tasks based on the experience of the candidate. Familiarity with policy issuance and document recording requirements are beneficial.
