POSITION SUMMARY

A Tool Room Attendant must have knowledge of the above title position and how it relates to the overall business and its objectives. Under direct supervision, must issue, receive, and store tools and other facility equipment. This position will also be responsible for maintaining records of tools and their location. Will assist in the shop and with other duties assigned by Supervisor, must follow all safety rules regulations and procedures as set forth by Company policy and other general labor duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily inventory/cycle count and required parts to order.
• Prepare periodic inventory or maintain continuous inventory of tools and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of parts inventory and incoming orders daily.
• Receive and issue parts in system daily.
• Issue tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
• Receive issued parts and inspection delivered daily at the end of shift.
• Receive and process all request forms daily.
• Systematically organize and maintain tool room in accordance with instructions.
• Communicate with all authorized team members daily to timely and correctly review any orders for parts requested.
• Communicate part needs with shop leader, Managers and Supervisors.
• Maintain/repair returned parts for proper inventory maintenance.
• Assist with annual evaluation of parts usage to determine what needs to be stocked and what need to be removed from stock per manager and/or usage reports.
• Managing the tool room window/desk.
• Ensure tool room security/tool room access.
• Monitor and maintain overnight and weekend request for tools.
