Our purpose is to help great products reach more people, more easily. Huhtamaki, a leading supplier of drinking cups, frozen dessert, and food packaging containers, and presently has an opening for a Tool and Die Maker in our Fulton, NY plant.

We are seeking an individual with a Journeyman or equivalent, 5 years of Tool Room and Machining experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Able to interpret specifications, inspect work, fabricate parts, and make tooling repairs using blueprints, models, or descriptions;
• compute dimensions, plan work, layout stock, and determine assembly methods and sequences of operations; prepare metal stock for machining;
• use of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspections before, during, and after machining; set up and operate lathes, milling machine, surface grinder, and other metal working tools to machine parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications;
• able to measure, inspect, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measurement instruments;
• maintain production quality test gages and instrumentation by cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating per preventative maintenance process;

have demonstrated strong mathematics and problem solving skills; have good communication skills and be self motivated.
