We are looking for Land Mobile Radio, Two-Way Radio, technicians to build, install and service radio network equipment in the Central NY State area. We work on Motorola, L3Harris, Kenwood and Tait equipment, along with other Manufacturers.
Finger Lakes Communications Co. Inc., and our sister company JPJ Electronic Communications, maintain and support the following counties in Upstate NY:
Ontario, Monroe, Wayne, Orleans, Genesee, Oneida, Herkimer and Otsego.
State Wide customers include the NY State Police, Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), Department of Transportation, NYSEG, RG&E.
You will be requested to perform Preventative Maintenance on their systems, and to troubleshoot any equipment that is in failure. Programming of radios and systems is part of the job.
You will join our team to build new sites for the customers we support.
A company vehicle will be provided. A Service Monitor and test tools will be supplied. You must have your own hand tools. Continuing education is provided.
This position is based in our Auburn office, and the main counties you will support are Ontario, Monroe and Wayne Counties.

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Hand Tools
Additional consideration for:
Technical training and certifications (MECP, OSHA, R56, Motorola, Kenwood, L3Harris.)
Related military experience/MOS training.
Understanding of Two-way Radio, UHF, VHF, 800MHz, Repeaters. HAM amateur radio operator.
A clean Driver’s License is required.
Background and drug tests are required.
