    Overview of Responsibilities: Configures, customizes, and upgrades MSGCU’s consumer and business lending systems (Loan Origination System (LOS) and Servicer Systems) and assists with the management of ancillary systems and services that are integrated with lending systems. Oversees performance reporting and data analysis in support of the software systems used by all lending departments. Serves as lending systems subject matter expert and lead business liaison to Information Technology on matters relating to loan systems, enhancements, and process improvements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Works closely with Loan Operations Manager, lending directors and area managers in Consumer and Business Lending to evaluate business processes, data integrity, and compliance issues as they relate to the loan origination and servicing systems. Identifies and evaluates alternative options for new and existing lending process improvements and manages them through design, implementation, and support.
    • Maintains MSGCU’s lending systems including user profiles, business rules for data entry, workflow progression, regulatory compliance as specified in change requests submitted by the business partners, the loan document generation library, including building custom documents as needed and maintaining eFolder settings.
    • Works with stakeholders on proposed system changes and process enhancements by defining and executing system analysis and simulation testing to determine potential impact of deploying changes and assisting in documenting functional and technical specifications, change requests, test plans, and training documentation for IT Governance review and approval. Designs and documents release and test plans for deployment of approved changes, documents procedures, and ensures appropriate quality assurance and end user training. Provides additional application support and training as required.
    • Manages integration of third-party vendors and services within the lending systems environment, and coordinates with Loan Operations and MSGCU’s vendor management resources. Serves as subject matter expert in combining loan origination system capabilities and lending business practices for optimum business solutions.
    • Assists in developing the annual budget and monthly budget variance reporting.
    • Responsible for eliciting; analyzing; validating; and documenting business, organizational, and/or operational requirements relating to day-to-day lending operations, deployments/modifications to processes, and product roll out to improve operational efficiency. Acts as a change agent to maximize technology opportunities and facilitate process and product improvements to drive forward continuous advancement, efficiencies, and improved long-term lending performance.
    • Plans and designs systems in support of core lending functions and business processes including business process management, gathering, and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements.
    • Acts as lead in analyzing business issues and challenges in the lending departments to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical and non-technical solutions that satisfy the business user, conform to the technical architecture, solve business problems, and improve business decision-making with a focus on core Lending systems, technology strategies, and standards.
    • Collaborates with business users and IT teams in the design, development, and deployment of new or improved technology solutions and product offerings by translating business requirements into technical requirements for application development. Ensures timely problem resolution of open IS Work Orders, open Symitar cases, etc.
    • Acts as lending process and system subject matter expert and project manager, as assigned, in corporate and department projects, assisting with planning, executing, and delivering quality work product according to defined milestones, deadlines, and budget. Performs key project support and analysis to develop project plans, test plans, and identify what team member(s) and/or consultant(s) are needed to complete projects (e.g., statements of work, change orders, etc.).
    • Works with loan operations team to identify required changes and support audit and compliance in review of active systems and process. Regularly reviews regulatory system administration guidelines and best practices and applies them in practice to optimize system performance.
    • Responsible for lending reporting oversight i.e. data governance, integrity, validation. Works with business data users to develop dynamic reporting on an ad-hoc or scheduled basis, based on business needs (i.e. loan origination, loan production, compliance, rates, etc.). Facilitates, with IT’s assistance, scheduled lending system reporting and process automation with efficiency impact. (i.e. yearend disclosures, daily/monthly balancing)
    • Cross trained to provide back-up support to other Lending Analysts supporting other lending systems.

    Essential Preparation and Experience:

    • Associate degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or related field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred; and
    • 4 years of analytic experience in the financial services industry.
    • Experience using consumer loan origination systems (LOS) required, MeridianLink experience highly preferred

    Working Conditions:

    • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
    • Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area as business needs require.
    • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
    • This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
