Description Summary

The syndication, distribution and defeasance of Trade Assets is a critical area for Citi's TTS Trade and Working Capital Solutions and Treasury Solutions business. Citi's Trade Asset Distribution & Risk Defeasance group (TAD&RD) is a team within TTS Trade and Working Capital Solutions that manages all activities related to the distribution, syndication and insurance of risks related to the full suite of Citi Trade products, to achieve credit, cross-border, and/or capital relief.

Job Description

The TAD&RD team are looking to hire a Director-level candidate to:

(i) deliver on the distribution, syndication, and insurance of Trade assets for Latam and Global obligors; and

(ii) lead and contribute to Global syndication, distribution, and defeasance strategies / projects

Key responsibilities:

* Provide leadership of, focus on and be responsible for the distribution, syndication, and insurance of Trade assets ("Trade Assets") for obligors in the Latam region.

* Recommend, support, and proactively identify initiatives to increase the liquidity of Trade Assets for the Latam region

* Agree to and deliver on Quarterly and Annual targets re the syndication and distribution of Trade Assets for the Latam region

* Leading and contributing to global projects aimed at increasing the liquidity of Citi's Trade Assets.

Key Competencies:

* Excellent knowledge of Trade business and in particular issues, the nuances, and dynamics of

syndicating, distributing and insuring Trade Assets in the Latam region

* Excellent knowledge of investor base for trade assets amongst banks, institutional investors, and Multi-Lateral Agencies

* Strong knowledge of the key markets in the Latam region

* Ability to influence numerous stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment around goals and targets for increasing the liquidity of Trade Assets

* Strong knowledge of 'alternative' syndication and distribution structures which may be available to Trade Assets (e.g. Trade funds, CLOs, repack solutions)

* Strong track record in executing large projects with multiple stakeholders

* Good knowledge of risk and regulatory capital issues as they apply to Trade Assets

Qualification:

* 10 years relevant experience in the financial industry with a syndication / defeasance focus

* Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills with key stakeholders and senior

management

* Strong team player with the ability to take the lead on major deliverables

* A demonstrated history of delivering on initiatives

* Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm

* Experience in working with and ability to lead direct and indirect reports or teams

* Ability to work under pressure in a highly professional environment

* Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed

* Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese:

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred and managerial experience.
