Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial activities, including financial planning and budget management. The Controller will ensure the company's financial reports are accurate and in compliance with regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports and workpapers; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
• Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations and cash flow management and reporting.
• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual review and tax returns.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge.
• Lightspeed a plus.
• CPA a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with Accounting Specialization required.
• Ten years or more of related experience required.
