The Lensic Performing Arts Center (LPAC) seeks a professional, experienced candidate for the position of Controller. This senior executive position is responsible for fiscal oversight of the LPAC. Responsibilities include working with staff to prepare annual and capital budgets, monitoring budget and budget variances, managing cash flow, reconciling all earned, contributed, and endowment income, and overseeing annual audit and tax filings. The Controller will prepare reports and make presentations at Lensic Board of Directors and board committee meetings.
This position supervises the finance team and reports to the Executive Director.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated computer proficiency (QuickBooks, MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook), and be knowledgeable about GAAP and nonprofit accounting. The position requires being able to meet multiple deadlines, communicate clearly, and occasionally work extended evening and weekend hours. Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
