Top Division Manufacturing Executive leads the overall manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations for a division of an organization. Develops and incorporates solid operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into all manufacturing processes. Being a Top Division Manufacturing Executive adopts process designs, technologies, and methods that maximize operational efficiency. Directs and participates in workforce or labor relations negotiations and planning activities. Additionally, Top Division Manufacturing Executive plans and forecasts resources for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce to ensure sufficient manufacturing capacity to support divisional goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Top Division Manufacturing Executive manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Responsibilities
*Prepare all machines for the day’s work before production personnel arrive; as directed by the Set-Up leader
*Perform line clearances
*Set up work area with correct material to produce the product
*Ensure operators assigned to the job are sufficiently trained and have proper training records in place
*Communicate with Quality Inspectors as required for inspection frequencies and as new operators are added to the job
*Complete all necessary documentation in a clear and accurate manner
*Ensure product is built to customers specifications
*Ensure proper traceability
*Ensure issued material is accurate and matches Bill of Material and the issuance report from the stockroom
*Communicate with stockroom when more material is required Initiate NCRs as necessary for in-process non-conformance's
*Adjust machines throughout the day based on Inspection or Production Supervisors request; as directed by the Set-up leader
*Assist production personnel; as needed
*Maintain set-up/or adjustments; as required
*Assist Production Supervisor with training records and evaluations of training
*Ensure sealing equipment is maintained on a daily basis *Other duties as assigned by production management
Required Skills
*Ability to read, write and speak in the English language
*Vision abilities required by this job include close vision
*Ability to work in a team environment and enforce company policies
Experience / Education
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a group
*Assembly/Manufacturing experience required *High School or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as applicable to the position):
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
