Essential Duties:

Support the SVP/VP with the implementation of measurable plans for the health, nurture and encouragement of staff, volunteer leader, committee members and donors in each region.

Provide clear, prompt, appropriate and professional communication.
Performance & Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.

Assist the divisional SVP/VP in maintaining oversight and casting vision for reaching every kid within the division.
-
Participate in personnel processes including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, transferring staff, moving authorizations, and sabbaticals.
-
Support leadership with the annual staff evaluation process, ensuring completion of Individual Development Plans and Goal Performance Management for all regional and divisional staff.

Assist SVP/VP in implementation of diversity-inclusion strategies, including recruitment, retention, and leadership development.
Financial Health — “Fueling the ministry” includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and RCE team.

Manage the annual budgeting process, including compensation review, along with ongoing awareness of regional and divisional cash flow budgets as it relates to the needs of the division.

Assist in overseeing financial health in each region, including reviewing regional deficit reports monthly.

Review and analyze divisional financial and donor related reports monthly and provide executive summaries to SVP/VP as requested.

Assist in creating and managing the division’s fundraising strategy, ensuring excellence in communication to donors and mission leadership.
-
Align with SVP/VP in utilization of Relationship Centered Engagement philosophy and tools.
-
Manage all divisional financial accounts monthly and distribute funds as directed by SVP/VP.
Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.

Serve on the U.S. Operations Lead Team and the divisional leadership team. Participate in team meetings both in person and remotely.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mission-wide operational processes and applications, and ensure provision of ongoing training and support for the field in the division.
-
Facilitate clear communication regarding expectations and implementation of all Young Life leadership initiatives, policies, and procedures to the field.
-
Manage divisional meetings including content and schedule in partnership with SVP/VP.
-
Develop and implement both an internal communication plan to field staff and volunteers within the division and an external communication plan (divisional newsletters, social media, etc.).
-
Maintain a healthy working relationship with regional staff, equipping and supporting their roles for effective ministry.
-
Participate as deemed necessary in US leadership meetings and conferences and make on–site visits to help understand operational issues and find solutions, as needed.

Maintain solid connectivity with the divisional SVP/VP and serve as his/her delegate when requested.

Align with and provide operational support to fulfill annual strategic ministry goals, both mission wide and division specific.
-
Provide ongoing analysis of Core Ministry Impact statistics within the division, communicating to appropriate leadership and developing action plans as needed for ministry health and growth.

Review and analyze camping statistics quarterly and summer camp reports weekly, communicating to appropriate leadership and developing action plans as needed.
-
Manage annual summer camping processes including: quota allocation, assignment team placement and training, work crew, summer staff and adult guest program.

Maintain oversight of divisional and regional DEB plans and cultural intelligence training in partnership with DEB office and SVP/VP.
-
Accept both short and long-term assignments, projects and mission wide tasks as assigned by the field division SVP/VP or US Field Operations vice president.

Set divisional calendar and establish operational deadlines.

Serve as a liaison between divisional SVP/VP and US Field Operations Lead Team, regional teams and Mission Services.

Utilize YL Connect to support operational aspects of data management for ministry health and growth.
Job-Specific Working Conditions

Office environment in Houston, TX or remote within the South Central Division (Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas).

Travel required, approx. 10-12 trips annually.

The anticipated salary can range from $70,000-$80,000 depending on relevant experience and education.

Qualifications:
Education

Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or Finance preferred.

Young Life field experience preferred.
