Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Treasurer/Grants Manager to join our team. As a Grants Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of grants, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate and timely reporting. This is a critical role that requires strong financial acumen and the ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously. As the Treasurer, it is crucial to have strong accounting and computer skills. The Treasurer oversees the Town's financial transactions as well as conducting the Town's budget process.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budgeting and reporting
- Record keeping.
- Monitor grant and the Town's expenditures and ensure compliance with grant/state requirements and regulations.
- Develop and maintain financial systems and processes to track grants and the Town's funds and expenses.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including grantors.
- Conduct regular reviews of the budget to identify any variances or discrepancies
- Coordinate with auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Skills:
- Strong financial management skills, including general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in managing grants, including experience with budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Knowledge of accounting principles such as debits/credits, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with accounting software systems to track funds and expenses.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial data accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
