Exciting direct-hire position with an internationally recognized, leading law firm! As an Economic Analyst, you will provide financial analysis of publicly traded securities, financial statements, historical price performance and “peer group” comparisons.  In addition, the department provides research on various individual company and/or industry specific issues related to the valuation of publicly traded companies. You will also perform computer modeling to determine economic damage analyses pursuant to sections 10(b), 11(e) and 12(2) of the federal securities laws. Training for this role is 100% on-site and can go hybrid after the training period!

Responsibilities & Duties

• Produce reliable estimates of aggregate damages in securities fraud cases.
• Prepares allocations of settlement proceeds based on case specific factors.
• Prepare index/peer group stock price performance graphs.
• Research insider trading activity and prepare detailed summaries of transactions.

• The Economic Analyst will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing a substantial amount of information related to publicly traded companies and their investors.  The data collected includes:
  1. price and volume data for the underlying security;
  2. data on the institutional holdings of the underlying security;
  3. data on the company’s insider trading activity during the class period;
  4. the company’s short interest data; analyst reports regarding the company and/or it’s industry;
  5. relevant SEC filings; news and media reports on the company

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in economics or business.
• Experience with spreadsheet software (Excel), and word processing software required (Microsoft Word preferred).
• Familiar with filing requirements and content of financial documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and work on several projects at the same time.
• Ability to adjust work schedule and work overtime as required.

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT

Compensation for roles at Suna Solutions varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.

Pay Scale of Starting Pay for role: $80,000-$85,000 DOE
