GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Early Head Start Program Specialist works with participating child care partners, serving as a liaison between partners and the local Early Head Start program. The EHS Program Specialist provides technical assistance and tracking services of childcare partners and classrooms to ensure compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards. This position assists the EHS Program Manager to ensure terms of contracts between Early Head Start and the contracted childcare partners are met. This position provides guidance and support to ensure the provision of quality services to each family child care home serving as the required “Child Development Specialist” from program performance standards.
