Responsibilities:- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and maintain a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire safety training, employee forklift training, and yearly company wide safety training.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators to senior management.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices, and ensure company compliance.
- Manage environmental programs, including waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities.
- Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
- Previous Red Cross Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification required
- 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety coordination.
- Previous forklift experience/certification required.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is a plus.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM /-Pay: $25.00/HR, dependent upon experienceGreat benefits available after 90 days; including paid holidays, paid time off, plus we offer healthcare plans with $0 deductibles, $0 co-pays, and many no cost prescriptions!Flexible unpaid time off available after 30 days of employment.
