What You'll Do:
The Executive Director of the Oaklawn Foundation is:
- Responsible for the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and Marketing/Communications program.
- Raise contributions
- Increase overall awareness for Oaklawn, including specific high priority programs/services
- Promotes voluntary community involvement in its programs and services.
- Provide leadership for program planning, implementation, and assisting in the education needs of staff.
The Executive Director is responsible for the recruitment of and functioning of the Foundation Board of Directors.
Additional duties for the Executive Director:
- Responsible for supervising multiple functions in his/her division. Supervises one or more line supervisors or coordinators. Can hire, discipline, evaluate and terminate subordinate staff with review and approval of superior.
- Has budgetary authority over an administrative program and can approve expenditures within the established, board-approved budget, and can delegate this authority to subordinate managers.
- Has significant responsibility for making final decisions which typically affect more than one department or work unit. This position has program responsibilities for a division with authority to set procedures.
- Position responsibilities are substantially complex, often working within broad or vague parameters or only partially relevant guidelines.
- Interacts with a broad range of internal and external customers and constituents, including: a variety of Oaklawn staff, donors, Foundation Board members, community leaders, treatment professionals, volunteers, vendors, referral sources, and visitors.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, CFRE Preferred
- Experience: 3 – 5 years of Fund Development experience in a non-profit organization; Health Care related fund development and marketing experience preferred. Experience with donor database software also preferred.
