Human Resources Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Full Time

Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour

Reports to: VP of Operations

Position Overview: Human Resources Coordinator

This individual will provide guidance on day-to-day human resource issues and office activities as well as provide management of defined projects that require a high level of accuracy and urgency.

You will need to have exceptional interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented and possess the ability to prioritize tasks.

Your typical day might include:

• Providing departmental support throughout the company. This would include supporting staff and senior management.
• Full cycle recruiting, hiring and on-boarding of new employees for specific skilled positions.
• Oversee and coordinate new hire paperwork, orientation, training and company policy overview.
• Coordinate performance appraisal and career development discussions.
• Performing accurate maintenance of personnel files in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Handling of employee relations, leaves of absence, separations, benefits, etc.
• Office and administrative coordination.
• Additional special projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• 5 years experience in an HR role.
• Exceptional knowledge of HR and personnel best practices and principles, including applicable labor, payroll, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations.
• Confident and articulate in written and verbal communications.
• Demonstrates ability to interact directly with clients and professionals of all levels.
• Be effective at building collaborative relationships, functioning as part of a team as well as working independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve, apply good judgement and initiative while maintaining confidentiality.
• Computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. A willingness to learn other programs used.
