Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Join our growing team! We are looking for motivated individuals who want to further their careers with GFI. This position will be responsible for the accountability of our inventory through proper reporting, cycle counting, date checks, shortage report research, handling drivers’ returns, quality control issues, and conducting physical inventories.

     

    In This Role, You Will…

    Some of your duties may include:

    • Conduct daily cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory.
    • Maintain physical inventory quantities and validate against perpetual.
    • Validate customer returns against return sheets, Pickups and invoices.
    • Ability to learn/comprehend two computer systems (Power Warehouse/Power Enterprise system) and keep in sync.
    • Verify dates and product quality are the highest quality standard.
    • Maintain the safety, quality, and legality of food products.

    Things you need to be able to do:

     

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Microsoft Office
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions and meet deadlines and be able to work under minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and able to work in cold environment (minus 5 45 degrees) for an extended period of time. Capable of being on your feet for lengthy periods of time.

     

    Things that are a plus:

     

    • High School Diploma or higher education
    • Previous Inventory Control/Cycle Count experience a plus.
