West Group Law PLLC is looking to hire a Legal Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant with significant experience to join our team and work closely with the Managing Partner and other attorneys and staff at the firm. We are a boutique law firm with 13 attorneys. We have primary offices in CT, RI and NY. We represent municipalities and government agencies in public procurement, contract drafting, negotiations, and administration, as well as litigation in connection with public infrastructure assets such as water, wastewater, biosolids, solid waste, broadband, energy, and government buildings.
Duties and responsibilities will include, and not necessarily be limited to: assist Managing Partner with firm management and personal tasks; perform complex and routine administrative tasks for firm attorneys and Firm Administrator; coordinate and book travel, conference and meeting arrangements; send meeting invitations, manage calendars, and initiate meetings and calls; manage and maintain records, files, spreadsheets and ongoing projects to promote smooth functionality; format, proof and correct documents such as agreements, proposals, and letters at the request of attorneys; responsible for making changes to website, distributing e-blasts and newsletters, and maintaining firm LinkedIn account.
The successful candidate will have several years of experience in a law firm environment supporting a number of attorneys OR several years of comparable experience; demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop skills; familiarity with legal terminology and documentation; proficiency in the MS Office suite of products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Hyperstyles experience preferred); excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work with a team of lawyers and support staff; ability to prioritize tasks, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail.
