    POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position):

    Reporting to the Sr. Manger, Omnichannel Planning & Allocation in Boston, MA, the Allocation Manager is responsible for store allocation directives and execution to support DTC (Direct to Consumer) Brick and Mortar channels. The Allocation Manager will need to create a strong partnership with Omnichannel Planning and Buying teams to ensure strategies are aligned with merchandise and financial plans. This role is responsible for managing store allocations across Full Price and Outlet channels. The Allocation Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of two direct reports.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (include titles of positions directly reporting to this position):

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

    • Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendors.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with Buying and Planning to maintain store assortments and style parameters that support merchandise and financial plans
    • Create and manage store groups/tiers based on hindsight and collaborate with Buying and Planning to align with buy plans
    • Responsible for all allocations and weekly replenishment that incorporate store volume, trends, and capacities
    • Monitor sales and inventory levels on a weekly basis to determine risks and opportunities and adjust system parameters to react to trends and/or address capacity issues
    • Monitor timing of seasonal trends in stores and adjust system parameters as needed
    • Manage store and category sales curves to ensure proper size run allocations
    • Analyze results from Omnichannel initiatives (Ship from Store, Click & Collect, Endless Aisle, and Amazon Today, etc.) to identify opportunities for allocation adjustments to support omnichannel demand
    • Act as main point of contact with Distribution center regarding shipments and RTVs
    • Take a lead role in creating and modifying sales and inventory reports to support business
    • Lead and develop direct reports and provide strategic guidance on all allocation matters

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of retail math and KPIs.
    • Knowledge of resource allocation, planning, and assortment strategies.
    • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.
    • Attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
    • Ability to present plans and results to senior management in a concise and professional manner.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships (specifically with Retail Buying and Distribution center).
    • Knowledge of ASICS products and athletic industry trends is a plus.
    • Experience with SAP, BI systems, and Analysis for Office preferred.
    • Ability to effectively motivate, engage and foster growth within team members.
    • Ability to hold themselves and team members accountable to a high standard of performance and results.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 3-years Retail Allocations, Buying and/or Planning experience required.
    • Experience managing direct reports or equivalent experience.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant business field or equivalent work experience required.
    • Knowledge in retail allocation systems preferred.
