The Pregnancy Care Center of Jay County is looking to fill the upcoming Director position. Applicants must be strong in personnel relations, have excellent people skills, and display a non-judgmental Christ like attitude. Applicant must be a team player who recognizes that group consensus and unity are more important than one’s own personal interest. Furthermore, we are looking for a person who leads a purposeful God-driven life to include personal church involvement, as well as the belief that abortion is not an option in any/all compromised situation that involves the mother and child. Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, driving strategic growth, and ensuring operational excellence.
Duties and Responcibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Responsible for staffing the office, recruiting volunteers, and scheduling.
· Must have the ability to make decisions on the spot with love and wisdom.
· Collaborate with the Board of Directors to guide the Center in a positive direction.
· Develop and market initiatives for fundraising events.
· Manage and help develop the budget, also oversee, and ensure that accurate records and statistics are kept.
· Represent the Center as the chief spokesperson.
· Guide the Center in marketing and community partnerships.
· Plan and conduct volunteer training sessions.
· Attend monthly Board meetings, keeping Board members aware of any necessary revisions in client programs or new program ideas. Also, report monthly client statistics at this meeting.
· Be responsible for the center’s mail and routing it appropriately (bills and checks to Board Treasurer, correspondence to Board Secretary, etc.)
· Be available to speak with clients and members of the community in crisis, which may include unplanned pregnancies.
· Be able to obtain and share knowledge of appropriate referrals according to the needs of the clients and those within our community.
· Maintain contact with agencies, churches, and organizations that refer clients or accept referrals from the PCC
· Represent the PCC to pastors, churches, civic organizations, reporters, and other representatives of the media, and the public at large through correspondence, personal meetings, public speaking, and interviews.
**Must be confidential in all things associated with the Pregnancy Care Center.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma/ GED (some college preferred but not mandatory)
· Experience working with individuals in crisis of all socio-economic backgrounds.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Management/administrative experience, including managing a staff of 8 or more.
· One to five years’ experience in the nonprofit sector with the preference given to pregnancy center or other pro-life organization experience.
· Pay rate will be discussed during the interviewing process.
· A state and local background check may be ordered.
· Must agree to our Statement of Principal and Statement of Faith.
