    The North Dakota Autism Center (NDAC) is seeking a highly motivated and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in achieving its mission and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, policies and procedures. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the effective delivery of programs and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for serving individuals with developmental disabilities, and a commitment to advancing our organization's mission.

    Essential Job Functions

    · Providing strategic leadership and direction to the organization, in alignment with the mission and goals set by the Board of Directors.

    · Overseeing all aspects of organizational management, including program development, fundraising, budgeting, and staff supervision.

    · Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including individuals with autism, families, donors, volunteers, community partners, and government agencies.

    · Leading efforts to expand and enhance the range of services offered by the North Dakota Autism Center, ensuring that programs meet the diverse needs of individuals with autism and their families.

    · Developing and implementing strategies to increase public awareness of autism, promote acceptance and inclusion, and advocate for policies that support individuals with autism and their families.

    · Collaborating with the Board of Directors to set strategic goals, monitor organizational performance, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

    · Serving as the primary spokesperson for the organization, representing the North Dakota Autism Center in public forums, media interviews, and community events.

    · Leading fundraising initiatives, grant writing efforts, and donor stewardship activities to ensure financial sustainability and growth of the organization.

    · Overseeing the general operation of NDAC, maintaining compliance with all licensing requirements, and assuring the highest level of services to all clients.

    · Actively engaging and energizing volunteers, partnering organizations, board members, and donors.

    · Leading, coaching, developing, and retaining high-performance management team and work to increase retention of team members.

    · Overseeing implementation of NDAC’s strategic plan and provide progress reports to the Board of Directors.

    · Assuring that accrual accounting procedures are followed. Monitor the payment of salaries and invoices. Oversee management of company funds.

    · Reviewing the financial reports consisting of Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and general ledger entries with the Treasurer and Board of Directors monthly.

    · Attending all Board meetings and making a monthly Director’s Report to the Board including relevant issues, events, and trends.

    · Preparing an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors. Include growth projections, forecasts, and plans for future budgetary needs.

    · Expanding local revenue-generating and fundraising activities to support existing operations and fund future growth.

    · Working to promote a positive image of the agency at the regional, state, and local levels.

    · Developing professional resources in the region through networking and collaboration.

    · Being informed of legislative issues affecting the industry and working with legislators and stakeholders to promote solutions.

    Qualifications

    The Executive Director will be thoroughly committed to NDAC’s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.

    Specific requirements include:

    · Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, social work, psychology, education, or business administration); advanced degree preferred.

    · Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management, with demonstrated success in organizational leadership, program development, fundraising, and community engagement.

    · Track record of effectively leading and scaling a performance-and-outcomes-based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth.

    · Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and stakeholders towards a common vision.

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences and build strong relationships.

    · Proven track record of strategic planning, financial management, and resource development within a nonprofit context.

    · Ability to work collaboratively with a Board of Directors and other stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

    · Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a desire to create a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with autism and their families.

    · Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.

    · Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

    Physical demands
